The 26th edition of Drawing Now Paris pays a tribute to China

March 22-27, 2017 at Palais Brongniart


For its 26th edition, March 22-27 2017, Drawing Now Paris gathers artists, exhibitors and aficionados around French and international masterpieces.
But most importantly, the fair invites China for the first time this year. A unique opportunity to admire this country's work.

Drawing Now Paris chose Paris as the world capital for graphical art. The fair generates several events in various museums over the week

Thanks to 39 exhibitors (60% of French galleries and 40% of International galleries), the 26th edition of Drawing Now Paris will present a selection of ancient and modern drawings.

For the first time, China is invited to take part in the event and to present its masterpieces.


Many events take place during the fair

Many exhibits will be held in various Parisian museums.

40 drawings recently aquired by the Cabinet des amateurs de dessins de l'Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Paris association and a collection of drawings preparing the notirous "Scène du déluge" by Girodet will be presented during the sponsoring campaign for the Girodet de Montagris museum.

The Daniel and Florence Contemporary Art Foundation will present its three nominees'work and will award for the 10th year the best contemporary drawing on March 23.

A drawing contest "draw a mask for a play" will be organized for children 6 to 14. Kids can send their creation to Le Petit Leonard redaction until February 28.

During the fair, a conference will gather 12 speakers around the theme: « From David to Delacroix: French painting from 1774 to 1830 ». An opportunity to read and to think over the graphical production of David et Delacroix's contemporaries.

With such a program, Drawing Now Paris addresses neophytes and professionals alike.
