We are the largest American direct marketer for international travel, adventure and discovery for Americans over 50 and have served more than 1 million travelers since 1958.
We own a fleet of 3 exclusive river cruise ships sailing on the Rhone, Saone, Seine and, starting in 2019, Dordogne rivers. GCCL ships have a capacity from 45 to 120 passengers depending on the ship and region. Each Program director is responsible for its individual group of 45 passengers. We serve exclusively American travelers.

What we require

Passion for people, our countries, culture and traditions
You are a French national or local to the country
Fluent in English
General overview and knowledge of history Flexibility, teamwork and leadership skills Stress resistance
Tour leading or guiding experience is required

Working Responsibilities

You will be based in France
Describing points of interest and providing informative talks on-board the ship and bus
Leading groups to locations, guiding city tours in small town (badged guides in big cities like Paris are provided)
Make a personal connection with travelers; share personal stories as to bring everyday life & French culture alive for your guests
Confirming arrangements for the necessary transportation and activity equipment
Presenting and booking of the Grand Circle Cruise Line excursions
Putting evening entertainment on stage with team on various evenings per cruise
Arranging for medical assistance for the guests in case of emergency, and accompanying the guests to hospital when possible, interpreting and helping them with all further issues
