Before joining TUI Travel PLC, Erik Friemuth had held various management positions in the Vodafone Group since 2004. His last position was managing director at Vodafone Deutschland.
In that function he was in charge of the entire consumer business of the largest company in the Vodafone Group as Chief Marketing Officer Consumer Marketing and Director Consumer Business Unit.
Erik Friemuth started his professional career in 2000 as managing director of Spray Network in Hamburg, which was taken over by Lycos Bertelsmann.
He subsequently worked as Senior Director at Lycos Bertelsmann GmbH in Gütersloh, before joining Vodafone in 2004.
Originally from Hamburg, Friemuth graduated in business studies at Siegen University.
