There are 1.3 million of them going every year.

Hotel-clubs are a star product amongst French vacationers.

A market that is booming and that is split between 8 major tour-operators in the country.

According to the latest figures released by SETO of travel companies, clubs accounted for 28% of sales, an increase of 4% compared to last year.

Marmara is in first place with 600,000 clients. Followed by Club Med (440,500 clients) and Look Voyages (220,000 clients.)

Fram comes next with close to 140,000 clients in 2013, its 2014 numbers are not yet published.

Then comes Thomas Cook (100,000 clients) as well as Héliades, who is showing great performance with 36,000 clients, leading in front of Kappa Clubs (25,000 clients.)

Top of Travel, that tackled the market in 2013, seduced 18,000 people.

While Marmara is doing the best in terms of clients, Club Med remains a leader in terms of number of establishments, with 67 villages in 2015.

As for the Transat group, it is experiencing the strongest growth, with 40 Lookéa clubs this year, versus 36 last year.

Marmara is also progressing with 42 clubs including 5 new ones. The TUI group is in fact aspiring to strongly develop this market.

Others like to stay cautious, such as Fram that remains stable with 26 hotels in the brochure.

Same thing at Thomas Cook, where its offer is experiencing a small decrease, with 25 Eldorador Clubs and 19 Jumbo Clubs this summer, versus 26 Eldorador and 22 Aquatour last year.

However, Héliades, the expert on Greece, hopes to capitalize on the current craze for this fetich destination with 21 addresses, including 5 new ones.

Beyond large industrial companies, some smaller tour-operators are also trying to get a slice of the pie, such as Top Of Travel who offers today 7 clubs, versus 5 last year.

Kappa Club is also ambitious, by multiplying by 2 the number of its establishments with 13 clubs for the upcoming summer.

Finally, a last one has just arrived on the market: Thalasso n°1, with 4 Francophones Ô Clubs that will be dedicated to family vacations.

In this way, it hopes to make its mark on a very promising market.
