The Brussels business lounge, which will close on the 2nd August to allow the works to be completed, will undergo a complete facelift before it re-opens in October.

The look and feel of the area will be completely overhauled with seating capacity increased, wifi connectivity improved, and the lighting upgraded to subtly change in tone throughout the day creating a more welcoming space.

Whilst the lounge is closed, Business Premier passengers and Eurostar Frequent Traveller carte blanche holders can go to the general information desk in the Eurostar departure lounge to pick up vouchers for wifi and a drink from the Coffee Club café, as well as make taxi bookings and collect complimentary newspapers and magazines.

Mikaël Lemarchand, Eurostar Director of Stations, said: “The transformation of our business lounge facilities in Brussels-Midi station is the latest phase of our ambitious plan to overhaul our passenger terminals.

We want to offer our customers a seamless journey whether on our core routes or connecting journeys and the works will see improvements to facilities and an increase in capacity alongside a fresh, new look and feel. We are looking forward to our travellers’ reactions when we take the wraps off in October.”

The refurbishment of the Brussels-Midi business lounge is the latest in a series of improvements underway across Eurostar’s terminals.

The brand new ticket office area at St. Pancras International was completed this month, and work has started at Lille Europe station where capacity is being increased in response to higher demand from passengers using the station to connect by high-speed rail across France.
