According to National Observatory of ski stations ANMSM-Atout France, the number of nights booked in French ski stations should increase by 1,9 % during winter 2016/2017.
Charles-Ange Ginésy, president of ANMSM says: "The positive momentum on the season and the weather forecast predicting a winter 2017 colder than the previous ones confirm professionals' optimism".
There is a hope for 55% of room occupation in ski stations during 2017 Christmas holidays. During this period, tourists prefer to opt for short stays instead of a one week package or more.
This winter, requests for children activities and animations increase while demands for ski activities tend to decline.
British are still the clients #1 in French ski stations except for Pyrenees where Spanish are #1 clients. Then come Belgians and Deutch.
As for February 2017, prognosis says booking will reach 60 %.
