2024 Olympic Games: Atout France supports and promotes Paris' candidature

Atout France has signed an agreement with Paris 2024 to support and to promote the French capital's application to the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games

On Thursday October 21 2016, Christian Mantei, General Manager at Atout France and Etienne Thobois, General Manager at Paris 2024, signed an agreement to strenghen and to structure their partnership on the French organization and participation in the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

In this agreement, Atout France brings its technical expertise. The Tourism Promotion Agency will use its communication tools and skills to reinforce and to promote Paris'candidature.

The election of the host city of the 2024 Olympic Games will be announced in Lima on September 13 2017.

Atout France communicates in a press release http://atout-france.fr that "the impact on the economy, tourism, society and on the environment would be tremenduous, should the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games take place in Paris",

The Olympic Games offer a unique opportunity to generate tourism flows and to attract new clients to France. A potential 10,7 thousand millions euros of revenues for the Île-de-France region has been estimated, with 3,5 billions of euros for the tourism industry.
